The Immigrant Story

The recent political evolutions in the USA have pushed many people to want to take action to drive more positive perceptions of immigration.

And what greater tool for this than positive storytelling?

The Immigrant Story is one of those big-hearted campaigns aimed to remind Americans that diversity makes the USA and should be celebrated.

And they achieve this by re-putting the human at the centre of the thinking, showing a universal, human nature of individual stories that anyone should be able to empathise with.

Growing up in a predominantly white community, Vu and his family found it hard to transition to the new culture and their new life. To him, it was difficult growing up without a father especially when he saw other kids playing with their dads. As a kid, Vu was bullied and picked on for being “the stereotypical smart Asian” in class. Despite this, he continued to work harder, do well in school and go to college.
